Dolfan pride

I’d say it was a good day for the Miami Dolphins today.

It’s not like they really could screw it up. Well, yeah, they could, but by signing Jake Long early, they got the hard part out of the way.

I also liked the team’s two second-round picks, taking a quick defensive end from Clemson and Chad Henne, who lit up the Gators in the bowl game last year.

Sitting in the Celtic Corner watching the second round, I was hoping to see the Dolphins third round pick also, but, instead we all have to wait until Sunday morning for that. I’m hoping they choose Dan Conner, LB from Penn State, aka Linebacker U.

I describe Conner as a mix between Zach Thomas and Todd Johnson. He’s one of those guys who always plays hard, always is around the ball and making tackles.

The big Tuna should love him.

In any case, today was a good day to be a Dolphins fan, so I decided to out in public wearing my Fins hat with pride.

And yes, I”m wearing a fleece under a heavy jacket.
