Went to THE Mets-Phillies game on Tuesday night. You know, the game where the mets blew a three-run lead in top of the ninth inning and lost 8-6. Yeah, that game. It was fascinating, like watching a train wreck.
As a Marlins fan, the only better result would’ve been the Mets coming back in the top of the ninth and the game going 22 innings, but watching the outrage on the face of the Mets fans as their bullpen imploded was worth it.
As a result, here’s a few pictures of the carnage.
This was taken before the Phillies even took the lead.
This picture just about sums up the feelings of every Mets fan. It’s my favorite.
Ths guy was inconsolable. Of course, he also thought it was ok that a security guard put a Phillies fan into a wall earlier into the game. The security guard shoved the fan in the back on his way to another skirmish. The fan pushed back and the security guard freaked out. Bush league move by the Mets security, I say.
This guy decided to get belligerent against a couple of Phillies fans sitting beneath us. Once he was done cursing them out, he tried a few Jedi mind tricks on the Phillies batters. This was taken after he exhausted all his resources and was resigned to his fate.
Finally, here’s a video that shows just how upset the Mets were in moving pictures and color:
